BISOPHON® Bio leveling and noise insulation fill

Bisophon leveling and noise insulation fill

Twice as good in noise and thermal insulation.

BISOPHON® Bio leveling and noise insulation fill is a sound insulating leveling fill made from naturally expanded dry silicate gravel. Since the silicate gravel is mixed with basalt and slate during its formation, the BISOPHON ® Bio leveling and sound insulation fill consists of brightly coloured grains, the expanded silicate, and dark grains, such as shale and basalt. The latter have a bulk density of 1.200 kg/m3 and the pale expanded silicate of about 300 kg/m3. After the finished floor is walked on, the heavy grains move downwards and the light bright grains remain above. This process can be sped up if one rakes the dry fill before the screeding process.

The BISOPHON® Bio leveling and noise insulation fill is ultimately made of two layers, a heavy one for sound insulation and a light one for heat insulation. When poured, it results in a seamless layer of insulation without sound and thermal bridges with application leads remaining within the fill without a problem.

The officially approved BISOPHON® Bio leveling and noise insulation fill (according to DIN 18560-2) can be installed in any desired thickness with slight compaction. Under dry screed elements and floor heating elements, we recommend covering the dry fill with a soft wood fiber insulation board. This results in very good pressure distribution and visibly makes working in the space easier.
